2018 Maserati GranTurismo Powertrain and Performance
At the heart of every 2018 Maserati GranTurismo is the lightweight 4.7-liter V8 engine, which produces 454 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. With this engine, the GranTurismo Sport launches from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 4.8 seconds (5.0 in the convertible); the GranTurismo MC tops that at 4.7 seconds (4.9 in the convertible). The Sport’s top speed is 186 mph (179 in the convertible); MC models can reach max speeds of 187 mph (181 in the convertible).
Despite this incredible performance, the Maserati GranTurismo Sport still manages a combined city and highway fuel economy rating of 16 miles per gallon (15 in the convertible).* MC models share those ratings: 16 for the MC and 15 for the MC convertible.*
2018 Maserati GranTurismo Interior Design
Maserati describes the interior of the GranTurismo as a balance between “motorsports innovation, abundant comfort, and progressive technology.” You can opt for carbon-fiber backs for the front sport seats and available Poltrona Frau™ leather and Alcantara. Technophiles will love the 8.4-inch Maserati touchscreen infotainment system with access to your favorite apps for music, messaging, navigation, and more.
The GranTurismo comfortably seats up to four adults—two in the front and two in the back. Access to the rear seats is simple with the Easy Entry System. The rear interior features two cupholders, climate-control vents, a central pull-down armrest, and courtesy lights.
2018 Maserati GranTurismo Exterior Design
The Maserati GranTurismo was meant to turn heads—assuming heads can safely turn at the intense speed of the GranTurismo Sport and MC. Its iconic design includes a nod to the classic Maserati racecar (Tipo 60/62 “Birdcage”) with triple air vent apertures and triangular C-pillars. The GranTurismo was completely redesigned for 2018 with a new oval front grille and bi-xenon headlights with Adaptive Light Control, as well as an optional lightweight carbon-fiber hood. For aerodynamics, the GranTurismo boasts a front spoiler, slots, and side skirts in the front bumper.
Exterior color options include Blue Assoluto, Rosso Italiano, Rosso Magma, Blu Inchiostro, and Grigio Pietra (Sport only).
The 2018 Maserati GranTurismo is a top-rate road-faring vehicle—all it needs is a driver. Come and see if you are that driver today at Bert Ogden Maserati.
