Maserati MC20 Technology | Mission, TX
The year 2020 launches a new era for Maserati, and it was in September of 2020 that the brand officially kicked it off by unveiling the new Maserati MC20 super sports car in Modena. Maserati promises that this brand new sports car “combines performance, sportiness, and luxury” in a way that is uniquely Maserati.
The design of this Maserati model is elegant and reflects the unique Italian heritage of the brand. Under the hood, the MC20 is quite impressive. Its new Nettuno V6 engine promises 630 horsepower and launches the super sports car from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.9 seconds.
It’s not just performance and style, though, that set the new Maserati MC20 apart. It’s also the sports car’s abundant range of technology.
Take, for instance, the driving mode selector. With this, you can shift easily between Sport, GT, Wet, Corsa, and ESC off (deactivating control functions for a more typical drive) to accommodate conditions. Also at the your fingertips are Multimedia System controls, power window controls, and two speed selection buttons.
The cabin of the Maserati MC20 also includes two 10-inch screens. One is for the cockpit, delivering important driving information right in your line of sight. The other is for the Maserati Touch Control Plus system with smartphone integration. You don’t have to worry about keeping your smartphone charged since the Maserati MC20 includes wireless smartphone charging.
Maserati promises the MC20 helps keep you connected at all times via Maserati Connect. This program includes Alexa, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a compatible smartphone app, and built-in navigation.
Among its available safety technologies are Blind Spot Alert plus Rear Cross Path Detection, a dual cast braking system, and an Electronic Limited Slip Differential.
MC20 stands for Maserati Corse 2020; production will begin at the end of 2020, and it will be available as a 2022 model.
